A Few TGSL Complex Reminders

Attention TGSL Managers and Coaches,
Just a reminder that it takes each and every one of us to make sure that our equipment and facility are kept safe and sound. With that being said, this is a perfect time for a few friendly reminders moving forward:
- If you are the last person to leave any field:
- Make sure the field is raked using the golf cart and drag mat and that any holes around the pitcher's mound and batting boxes are filled in by hand with a metal rake. This should be done after both games and practices!
- Make sure that all bases, pitching mounds, hammers, strings, tapes and trowels are put back into the blue field box
- Make sure that all base plugs are put back in base boxes
- Make sure that the blue field boxes are locked
- Take a look around and make sure that there is no equipment (rakes, templates, liners, etc...) left out and unsecured
- Make sure that the dugouts are clear of trash and bottles
- If you are the last person to leave the Field 1, 2 & 3 area:
- Be sure the emergency gate is closed and locked
- Be sure that the field lights are off (two switches are located on the left side wall near the circuit boards towards the back of the shed)
- Be sure that the shed near field 2 is closed and locked
- Make sure that all of the power outlet covers behind the backstops are closed and secured.
- Don't worry about the scoreboard if it is on as it will time out and turn itself off after a certain period of time.
- If you are the last person to leave the complex on any given day/night:
- Make sure that the bathrooms are locked
- Make sure that the roll top door at the front of the concession stand is closed and locked
- Make sure that the flag is taken down and put into the concession stand (if you don't have access to the concession stand then leave it in the roll top)
If there is ever anything you are unsure of please call or text our Facilities Manager, Pete Arpin, at 401-640-4209 (emergencies only) or send an email to facilities@tauntongirlssoftball.org with a phone number to reach you.
One last thing, if your schedule permits and you are able to spend some time down the fields during the daytime hours and would like to help out with field mowing or trimming please send Pete Arpin an email and let him know. It would certainly take some of the burden of maintaining the fields off of him.
Thanks again for your cooperation and remember this is your softball complex and equipment so please help to take care of it.
